0–60 Society: The Perfect Combination of Workplace Design and Car Culture

November 01, 20243 min read

0-60 Society redefines how we perceive urban spaces, blending cars and business in an exciting and fresh way. Located in Houston, this unique venue celebrates two passions: cars and business, merging them seamlessly to create an unforgettable experience. When the 0-60 Society approached Architangent, they had a crystal-clear vision—building a luxurious co-working space paired with premium car storage. It was a bold idea, and Architangent eagerly took on the challenge.

The concept of 0-60 Society changes the way one views a city, where vehicles define the character as much as the skyline itself. Combining two passions—cars and business—this special Houston venue definitely creates a one-of-a-kind experience. When the 0-60 Society visited Architangent, they had a clear idea: build a luxury location with co-working space, as well as premium car storage. We realized this was a design problem we could chew on as soon as we heard it.

A Vision Moving Through Time

0-60 Society had a definite vision from the beginning. It was about building a community for automobile enthusiasts where employment and recreation could coexist in the same area, not just planning a spot to park high-performance vehicles. The tricky part was ensuring the design worked flawlessly for both office life and automobile storage, in addition to looking great.

The result is a glass-enclosed office with a climate-controlled parking area for luxury vehicles. This 19,000 SF building provides 12,000 SF of co-working office space over two levels, with prime views of the garage space and offices that open to a central atrium. This is not your typical garage; here is where entrepreneurs and exotic vehicles collide. Giving automobile owners the opportunity to appreciate their vehicles while working in a high-end, business atmosphere was the main design consideration.

A Masterclass in Multipurpose Design

The venue's adaptability is what differentiates 0-60 Society. We wanted to make sure that it could fit several needs throughout the day and accommodate work and play.

During office hours, the double-height atrium with a stadium staircase provides a break-out area right in the middle of the building. The atrium is ideal for informal meetings or casual networking events. But once the workday ends, this area becomes a stage for after-hours activities such as car displays, product introductions, or social gatherings. This adaptability was essential to making sure the area could fulfill several uses without compromising the cutting-edge ambiance.

The entertainment lounge embodies the notion of "work hard, play hard" with its wonderful view of the office space and the amazing vehicle collection below. The lounge boasts a state-of-the-art putting simulator, a larger-than-life racing simulator, and ample space for relaxing, connecting, and unwinding with colleagues. During the day, the boardroom operates as an effective meeting space, while after-hours, it opens fully to the connecting lounge space. Who says you can’t have it all?

0-60 Customs: The Perfect Synergy

The client came to us with a fresh idea: build a companion business next door that would meet the needs of luxury and exotic automobile owners, just as we were finishing off the design for 0-60 Society. 0-60 Customs was born—a full-service body shop providing everything from vinyl wraps and paint protection to finishing and bespoke bodywork.

For Houston's high-end car enthusiasts, this two-building complex offers a one-stop shop. Clients may find everything in one location, whether they require a space for business, storage, or customizing their favorite cars.

Finally, where vision meets reality

0 - 60 Society is an experience. We have helped realize a bold concept by merging the passion of car culture with the ambitions of entrepreneurs. Our passion for what we do stems from new ideas that challenge the status quo and require us to think beyond conventional boundaries.

Architangent is ready to work with you, whether your ambition is for a versatile community space or an office that inspires. Architangent can help you to realize your ideas. Let's produce something remarkable together.
